Buen ayre restaurant
Buen ayre is a Latin-American restaurant, located in the trendy Broadway market and is known for serving fantastic meat. The restaurant looks very simple and it is obvious that people come there for the meat rather than the atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and even entertained some bored children left alone by their parents. I was late so I called a friend who was already there to order me a Sirloin steak. When I arrived, the staff was very attentive and quickly offered me a drink to catch up with the rest.
The 8oz grilled Argentine Sirloin steak was succulent and better than the one I had at Santa Maria del Sur. Both of these restaurant started from the same owners who eventually decided to go on their seperate ways. I would definetly follow Buen Ayre after trying them both.
Two members of our group ordered Parrilladas – a huge portion of barbecued mixed meat. Quite a good option when you are really hungry.
The chips were chunky, covered with spices and had a nice texture.
Try the Quilmes Argentian beer (4.9%) it is a great one!
For dessert, I had some home made crème caramel with dulce de leche with a descent shot of espresso which was a great way to end this amazing meal.
Around £30 per person.
