FoodHall near Old Street
FoodHall is a gourmet food store which sells hot dishes, pastries, cheese, coffee and more… The main reason you want to go there is that the shop is beautiful- the food is well presented and it is fun to browse the variety of delicacies. For around £6 you can choose from a range of five hot lunch options (including vegetarian) to take away in a box. The coffee is good too and made properly most of the time. The staff are usually pretty busy so if you are looking for a chat this might not be the place but if you are hungry and looking for good and inspiring food, give it a try.

My favourite place to grab lunch and coffee, but also useful for difficult to find or unusual or special foodstuffs, huge selection of cheeses and charcuterie, fresh organic vegetables and fruits, exotic teas, superb but little known wines from small vineyards, artisan made pastas, jars of truffles and peppers stuffed with cheese, olives, sandwiches, hand made breads… The list is endless. PLUS they make the best coffee in North London!!!
